MPC Kinetic, a leading civil and pipeline construction company, were tasked with the construction of a 440km pipeline through the remote Tanami Desert in the Northern Territory, Australia.
To highlight their ability to overcome the complexities of such a project, MPC Kinetic engaged Olive Media and Corey’s creative team to produce a project overview video. The objective was to use this outcome for internal stakeholder purposes, in addition to marketing and social delivery.
So as to ensure an effective, detailed story was communicated, the production process was broken into three key stages.
Pre-Production:
This involved workshopping with the client to establish the correct narrative for the final product through storyboarding. Furthermore, identification of key employees to firsthand discuss on camera the challenges and achievements of the project were discussed and agreed.
Production:
Production entailed a four day shoot throughout the Tanami Desert – capturing an overview of the project. Alongside filming the pipelay at key stages, interviews of twelve key staff alongside the pipeline right of way were undertaken to relay the core narrative decided in pre-production.
Post-Production:
Working closely with MPC Kinetic, hours of interviewee responses were curated to ensure key messaging and an enticing story was communicated. Visually, the technical pipelay process was communicated end-to-end throughout the final video, with the use of 3D motion graphics further reiterating this process.
